Products & Solutions
In the production of Lithium-ion batteries, we offer a range of binder materials, including Styrene Butadiene Copolymer(SBR) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride(PVDF). For traditional secondary battery manufacturing, PVDF is used which requires use of NMP as its solvent. Since NMP is a toxic material, for environmental and safety reasons, SBR which dissolves in water is used for anode binder. For cathode binder, since PVDF shows electrical stability and possibility of high voltage environment, it is still be used despite of the environment and cost effect of NMP. These binders are essential components used in the manufacturing process of cathode and anode electrode slurries. Their primary role is to effectively hold together the active material particles and ensure they maintain contact with the current collectors, which are typically Aluminum (Al foil) or Copper Foil (Cu foil).
